Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin Live-Action Adaptation Is in the Works

The comic short "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin" is probably one of the most popular stories in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series. A comic sequel has been released and a game adaptation of the same name is also in production.

Recently, news broke that Paramount is making a live-action adaptation of "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin" and will make it an R-rated movie.

Former DC Films head Walter Hamada is reportedly set to serve as producer, and Tyler Burton Smith, the screenwriter of 2019's Chucky horror series Child's Play, is writing the script for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin.

The story of "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin" is set 30 years in the future. New York City has been devastated by war under the violent rule of Shredder's grandson Oroku Hiroto. The Ninja Turtles and Master Splinter who fought against him were killed one by one by Hiroto. The only surviving turtle will embark on a journey of revenge with the weapons of his deceased brothers.
