The animated film "Knights of Sidonia", adapted from the original Galaxy science fiction work by Japanese cartoonist Tsutomu Nihei, was originally scheduled to be released on May 14. Today, on May 11, the official announcement was made that due to the postponement, it will be rescheduled to be released on June 4. Stay tuned.

"Knights of Sidonia" (also known as: Legend of the Galaxy Knights) is a manga by Japanese manga artist Tsutomu Nihei that has been serialized in the manga magazine "Monthly Afternoon" since 2009.

The story is set 1000 years after the destruction of mysterious life forms called Kijuus in the solar system. The protagonist Tani Nagamichi, who lives on the seeding ship Sidonia that flies in space to maintain human reproduction and production, becomes a trainee operator of the giant humanoid weapon "Guardian". The work tells the story of the protagonist and his companions fighting against Kijuus.
