The first batch of episodes of the "Game of Thrones" spin-off "House of the Dragon" will be broadcast this year

The first batch of stills of the prequel to the spin-off series of Game of Thrones, House of the Dragon, has been released, with many members of the Dragon family appearing. The series started filming in the UK a week ago and is expected to be broadcast next year. It will focus on the story of the Targaryen family and involve their famous bloody civil war "Dance with the Dragons", which takes place about 300 years before the story of Game of Thrones. HBO has ordered a 10-episode season.

The series "House of the Dragon" is adapted from George R.R. Martin's book "Fire and Blood", which was developed by Martin and Ryan Condal. It will focus on the story of the "Dragon House" Targaryen family, involving the famous bloody civil war "Dance of the Dragons". The directors include Miguel Sapochnik, who directed many episodes of "Game of Thrones" such as "Battle of the Bastards" and "The Winds of Winter".
