Hideaki Anno talks about EVA's ultimate animation film goal of entering the 10 billion movie circle

"Neon Genesis Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo" has been released for more than a month since March 8th, and it has achieved great success in both box office and reputation, becoming the highest-grossing film in the series' history. On April 11th, the official held a live event and invited chief director Hideaki Anno and director and voice actor Ogata Megumi to attend, where they talked about the goals of the film.

· "Neon Genesis Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 You Are (Not) Alone" is directed by Hideaki Anno and produced by Khara Studio. It is the fourth part of the Evangelion Tetralogy, which is a reconstruction of "Neon Genesis Evangelion". The story takes place in the red, deserted Paris, where WILLE, centered on Wunder, sends a crew led by Ritsuko to try to restore the city.

· Hideaki Anno, who served as the original author, screenwriter and chief director of "Neon Genesis Evangelion: 3.0+1.0", said that the film's box office in Japan has exceeded 7 billion yen, and he believes that it will soon reach the 8 billion yen record of "Shin Godzilla". The goal is to enter the 10 billion yen movie circle including "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" and Ghibli's works. What's more important is that this film is a "robot" animation, and entering the 10 billion yen movie circle has special significance.

The four people who attended the event were, from left to right, the voice actor of the male lead, Ogata Emi, the general director and screenwriter Anno Hideaki, and the directors Tsurumaki Kazuya and Maeda Mahiro.
