Black Panther 2 officially starts filming, titled Black Panther: Long Live Wakanda

According to foreign media Variety today (June 30), Marvel's new film "Black Panther 2" has officially started shooting, and the title of the film is "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever".

Letitia Wright returns as Princess Shuri, Angela Bassett returns as Queen Ramonda, Lupita Nyong'o returns as Nakia, Winston Duke returns as M'Baku, and Martin Freeman returns as Elfert Ross.

Chadwick Boseman, the "Black Panther", passed away due to illness last year, which not only made many fans feel sorry, but also brought the "Black Panther" series of movies to a standstill. Marvel also said that it would not re-select an actor to play the "Black Panther" in the sequel to commemorate Chadwick Boseman's great contribution to Marvel. It is reported that Princess Shuri's role will be significantly increased, mainly to show the characters of Wakanda.

Director Ryan Coogler said: "As his friend and partner, I really miss him. But everything must go on. If I stop, I will feel that he is roaring at me, so I have to keep going."

"We are sad without Chadwick Boseman," said Kevin Feige, chairman of Marvel Studios. "But we are also excited because Wakanda will return to the public and fans. We will make this movie in a way that will make Chadwick Boseman proud," so the filming location is still at Pinewood Studios in Atlanta, USA.

"Black Panther 2" is scheduled to be released in North America on July 8, 2022.
