The appearance of the villain played by Tony Leung in the Marvel superhero movie "Shang-Chi" has been revealed. The film is scheduled to be released in North America on September 3 this year. Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is the 25th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and is part of Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The film is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, written by David Callaham, and stars Simu Liu, Awkwafina, Tony Leung, Fala Chen, Meng'er Zhang, Florian Munteanu, Chien Hsin-Yi, and Michelle Yeoh. The film project based on Shang-Chi was first proposed in 2001. It was not until 2018 that Marvel hired David Callaham to write the script and the project entered the preparation stage. Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is the first film with an Asian superhero as the protagonist. The crew completed some pre-production filming in Los Angeles in November 2019, and the main filming started in Sydney, Australia and New South Wales in February 2020. In response to the 2019 epidemic, the crew suspended filming in March, resumed filming in Australia in early August, moved to San Francisco, USA for location shooting in October, and wrapped up at the end of October. "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings" was originally scheduled to be released in the United States on February 12, 2021. Due to the impact of the 2019 epidemic, the U.S. release time was postponed for the third time to September 3, 2021.
