"GANTZ" cartoonist Oku Hiroya criticizes the comics industry today: comics are too difficult to read

Japanese cartoonist Oku Hiroya, who is famous for his representative work "GANTZ", recently expressed his dissatisfaction with current comic works, saying that the current comic industry is full of obscure and difficult to read works.

On September 4, Hiroya Oku tweeted that comics are nowadays hard to read. When I was young, I was often reminded by my editor that comics must be easy to read. Why is it that these are no longer the case? I can't understand what the action scenes are doing, the comic scenes don't connect, and the backgrounds are not clearly depicted. Well, after being made into animations, they are easy to understand.

· Oku Hiroya, a Japanese manga artist, was born in Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture on September 16, 1967. His representative works include "GANTZ" and "Gantz: Reborn Inuyashiki". His famous work is the long manga "HEN" serialized in [Seinen Jump] in 1992.
