Netflix buys overseas rights to the Chinese film Dynasty Warriors for eight figures

Recently, according to Hong Kong media reports, Netflix bought the copyright of "Dynasty Warriors" for an eight-digit price and arranged to broadcast it overseas in the summer vacation. In addition, the film's new character posters were exposed. "Dynasty Warriors" is directed by Chow Hin-Yeung and stars Wang Kai, Louis Koo, Ray Lui, Tony Yang, Carina Lau, Han Geng, Guli Nazha, etc. It will be released in mainland China on April 30.

The movie "Dynasty Warriors", which cost more than 300 million Hong Kong dollars to produce, has taken three years to produce since it was announced to start filming in 2017, from the early preparations to filming and post-production.

It is known that Netflix's spending this time is quite generous, with sources saying it is in the eight figures. They have such confidence because they are impressed by the large cast of "Dynasty Warriors" and the fans all over the world. What is more convincing is that after watching the movie, Netflix representatives loved it very much and immediately made the decision to purchase the global copyright at a record-breaking price for Chinese-language films.
