Development of new 007 film stalled

According to the Wall Street Journal, the development of the new 007 movie has stalled. The reason is that Amazon wants to create a "Marvel style", but producer Barbara Broccoli completely disagrees with this idea. In addition, the actor for the new Bond has not been determined.

There is no script or story yet, but Amazon is interested in producing spin-off projects.

James Bond is a fictional character created by novelist Ian Fleming in 1953. To date, he has been played by several actors in 27 films, in that order: Sean Connery, David Niven, George Lazbee, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig. Only two of these 27 films were not produced by Eon Productions, which owns the film adaptation rights to all of Fleming's Bond novels.

The last 007 movie was released in 2021
