Jurassic World 3 director: There should only be one Jurassic Park movie

Director Colin Trevorrow thought there should only be one Jurassic Park movie, but he ended up making three Jurassic World movies.

In a recent interview with the media, Trevorrow said that the core of Spielberg's "Jurassic Park" is a "unserializable" movie, and there was no plan to make a sequel. Therefore, in order to blaze a new trail for the series, the series must evolve and find some new entry points, especially after "Jurassic World 3".

He explained: "In order to keep the plot of this series going, because this movie was not originally intended to be serialized, there might have been only a plan to make a "Jurassic Park" at the beginning. But if we want to continue filming, how can I let them continue the story in a world with dinosaurs, or in other words, what reason do we have to go to an island again?" He explained his thinking in "Jurassic World 3" in this way.

After changing the DNA of the series and switching the idea to let characters coexist with dinosaurs, Trevorrow introduced the potential direction of the series. He hopes that "Jurassic World 3" can become the cornerstone of the future development of the "Jurassic" series of films, rather than a summary of the previous films.

He said: "This movie is mainly about creating some new characters and moving towards a new generation."

However, judging from the reactions of critics and audiences, the performance of "Jurassic World 3" was not very good.
