Anne Hathaway to play a major role in Under the Silver Lake director's new film

The hollywoodreporter reported today (March 18) that Warner Bros. Pictures, Bad Robot Studios and Jackson Films have given the green light to David Robert Mitchell's untitled film project, in which well-known actress Anne Hathaway will play the main role. Deadline added that the film was mainly released in IMAX format.

David Robert Mitchell is an American director, screenwriter and producer. In 2002, he directed his first short film "Virgin". In 2010, he wrote and directed his first film "The Myth of the Unsleeping World". In 2014, he wrote and directed the horror film "The Mysterious Pursuit", which was shortlisted for the 67th Cannes Film Festival Critics Week Award. He was shortlisted for the Best Director Award at the 31st American Independent Spirit Awards for this film. In 2018, he wrote and directed the crime thriller "Under the Silver Lake", which was shortlisted for the main competition unit of the 71st Cannes International Film Festival.
