James Wan: Aquaman 2 will have more horror elements

Recently, "Aquaman" director James Wan confirmed in a question-and-answer session on Twitter that the sequel "Aquaman 2" will have more horror film elements, and some scenes in the new film will be "a little more scary", and the horror elements will come from the "Trench Tribe" in the first film.

"Yes, just like the Trench Tribe scene in the first film was a way of expressing my sense of 'horror,'" James Wan said during the Q&A. "I think it was something that came naturally to me during the filming of the movie. Especially with Aquaman, where a lot of the action takes place in the ocean, these scenes can be very scary in themselves. My love for horror means I enjoy shooting scenes like this, and I try to add something special every time."

At present, James Wan will also know the "Aquaman" spin-off movie "The Trench", which will be a movie that takes place between "Aquaman 1" and "Aquaman 2". It should be a pure monster movie, and Mera, the Queen of the Sea, may appear in it.

Aquaman 2 is expected to be released in 2022.
