"Jurassic World" actress Bryce Dallas Howard complained that her salary was much less than that of "Star-Lord" Chris Pratt. In an interview with Insider, the 41-year-old actress revealed that she was paid less than her co-stars for the Jurassic World films, despite fighting for the same pay. "I was paid much, much less than what was reported," Howard said. "When I started negotiating to do Jurassic World, it was 2014 and it was a different world and I was at a disadvantage. Unfortunately, you have to sign for three movies so your contract is set." Howard and Partt revived the Jurassic Park franchise with Jurassic World in 2014. However, even back in 2018, Variety reported that Howard was paid $2 million less than Star-Lord when the two starred in Jurassic World 2, with Star-Lord making $10 million and Howard making $8 million. It’s worth mentioning that Star-Lord also tried his best to help her negotiate a higher salary. "I will say that Chris and I have discussed this, and whenever there's an opportunity to make a change on something that hasn't been negotiated, like a game or a car, he'll tell me point blank, 'You don't have to do anything. I'm doing all the negotiating. We're both making the same salary, and you don't have to think about it, Bryce.' And I really like that when he does that. I really like that because I'm getting paid a lot better than I was before." |
