More and more users recharge Tencent, video and music membership totals over 200 million

Have you ever spent money on Tencent's paid value-added services? According to the second quarter financial report just released, the number of users of value-added service businesses represented by Tencent Video and QQ Music has grown steadily. As of June 30, 2022, the number of registered accounts for Tencent's paid value-added services was 235 million, a year-on-year increase of 2.3%.

Among them, the number of Tencent Video paid members reached 122 million, and in terms of music, the number of paid members reached 83 million.

Regarding music membership, the financial report released by Tencent Music Entertainment Group the day before showed that Tencent Music's music subscription revenue in the second quarter was 2.11 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 17.6%. The number of paying users of online music services in the second quarter was 82.7 million, a year-on-year increase of 24.9%.

In the second quarter, the monthly ARPPU (average revenue per paying user) of Tencent Music's online music service was 8.5 yuan, down 5.6% from 9 yuan in the same period last year.

Back to the financial report itself, Tencent achieved revenue of 134 billion yuan in the second quarter, down about 3% from 138.3 billion yuan in the same period last year; net profit was 18.6 billion yuan, estimated at 25 billion yuan, down 56% year-on-year.
