The Addams Family spin-off live-action series Wednesday Chinese trailer

Netflix has released a teaser trailer for Wednesday, a live-action spinoff of The Addams Family. In the trailer, Wednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega) and her cold personality and penchant for torture are fully revealed.

"Wednesday" is a mystery suspense series full of supernatural elements. It tells the story of Wednesday Addams's student life at Forever Closed College for many years. The series is directed by Tim Burton ("Edward Scissorhands", "Sleepy Hollow", "Sweeney Todd", "Big Fish").

The trailer shows her antics that lead to her expulsion from a regular high school and her eventual acceptance into the Eversealed Academy - antics that include filling a pool with piranhas to attack her brother's bullies, telling them, "The only person who can torment my brother is me."

Eversead Academy, with its gothic-style school and students dressed in striped, purple and black uniforms, seems more appropriate for Wednesday, who is dressed in all black. This is in stark contrast to the beginning of the trailer, which shows her in a bright, colorful and cheerful school environment.

Wednesday will be aired in the fall with 8 episodes. The cast includes Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzman and Christina Ricci, who played Wednesday in the movie.
