Main Characters

Details of the main characters are as follows:

  • Natsume Tomoharu : The protagonist of this work, a boy with a tendency to misfortune who has been known in the neighborhood as "haunted" since surviving an airplane crash three years ago. After opening a suitcase handed to him by Shuri, claiming it was from Tomoharu's brother, he becomes the handler of the Asura Machina Kurogane, and leads a turbulent school life.
  • Minagami Mio : A childhood friend who is possessed by Tomoharu as a ghost. She is caring and takes on the role of supporting Tomoharu and making jokes in the science club. To be precise, she is not a ghost, but rather a projection of the Belial Doll, a sacrifice used to activate the Mechanical Demon.
  • Takatsuki Kanade : A beautiful girl in class who has feelings for Tomoharu. Her shy personality and slow-witted behavior make it hard to imagine, but her true identity is a demon who controls the flames of hell. She is the only daughter of the Takatsuki Group, a designated demon society in a wide area, but she left home because she hated the family business and is living with her relative, Shiozumi's house.
  • Kurosaki Akemi : She is the deputy head of the science club that Tomoharu and her friends are enrolled in, and is also the one who got Tomoharu involved in the turmoil. Contrary to her beautiful appearance, her body has been modified with dark science, making her a treasure trove of heavy weaponry, and in battle, missiles shoot out from her entire body, making her a dangerous older sister.
  • Ania Fortuna Someschel Miku Klausenburg : The youngest daughter of Margrave Fortuna, a demon clan with the ability to "eat luck". Although only 10 years old, she is a genius girl who specializes in the control system of the Machine Demon and can control several countries. She came to Japan as an exchange student to search for her older sister, Krustina, and attends Rakushuwa High School while living at the Naruo House.
  • Takuma Higuchi : Tomoharu's friend, he is a severe occult maniac who talks about aliens and UMAs whenever he opens his mouth. Because of this, he is not popular at all, even though he has a good face. He is also quite well-informed, and is knowledgeable about rumors and urban legends, so he is useful in unexpected situations.
  • Ohara An : A cheerful girl who was in the same track and field club as Tomoharu in junior high school. She is also the poster girl for the Ohara Liquor Store where Tomoharu works part-time. She is secretly popular with boys because of her cheerful and friendly personality, but she seems to be a little concerned about her modest breasts.
  • Tachibana Tohru : President of the third student council at Rakushu High School. Although he appears to be extremely normal in appearance and personality among the eccentric members of the Rakushu High School student council, his abilities are unknown. He always carries his Japanese sword, Touou, on his back, and fights on an equal footing with Kaga Kagari, a demon slayer (Asura Cryin).
  • Saeki Reishiro : President of the First Student Council at Rakushu High School and operator of the mechanical demon Hisui. He has a strong belief that demons must be destroyed to maintain the balance of the world, and is in opposition to the science department. He once plotted to get Tomoharu into his camp.
  • Reiko Saeki : A classmate of Tomoharu, she is a beautiful girl on par with Kanade and Misao. Although she is kind to girls, she is always harsh towards Tomoharu and Higuchi, which has led to heartless rumors that she is a lesbian. She is obsessed with her brother, Reishiro, and sometimes takes quite radical actions as the leader of the Holy Defense Force.
  • Aion Shizuma : A girl who is a cousin of the Saeki siblings and is a projection that possesses Reishiro. When she was a flesh-and-blood human, she had a rough personality and often bullied and fought with Reiko, but now for some reason, she has a relatively calm mood. She has an abnormal obsession with numbers and is rumored to be good at mental arithmetic.
  • Takaya Kagaki : A demon slayer who is the operator of the mechanical demon Lord Knight and the contractor of the demon Krustina. He uses his forbidden power to indiscriminately attack demons and gather large amounts of magical power, and is being pursued by the Kanto Student Federation and the Holy Defense Force, who have taken the situation seriously.
  • Krustina Fortuna Someschel Miku Klausenburg : A demon girl with the ability to "eat luck", who is a leading researcher of the device that separates the burial maidens from the mechanical demons, the splitter. She was once invited by the Royal Science Madness Society to study at Rakushu High School as an exchange student, but disappeared before graduation and is currently under contract with Kaga Kagari.
  • Mayu Kazuhide : Treasurer of the second student council at Rakushu High School. He caused the UMA commotion in Tobi Lake after abandoning his daughter, the wind beast Vivian, born to him and a demon. He always has a silly face, but he has been held back a year due to his busy student council activities, and is actually one year older than Tomoharu and the others.
  • Kurasawa Rikka : President of the second student council of Rakushu High School and operator of the mechanical demon Suisho. She usually wears strong glasses and braids to look like a diligent honor student, but she is greedy for money and is a villainous beauty who works behind the scenes of the school to make money.
  • Yukihara Yo : A handsome, cross-dressing girl with medieval beauty. She is the operator of the mechanical demon Shirogane, the counterpart of Kurogane, and is feared as the Kanto Student Federation's strongest armed student instructor (Guardian Dragoon). She is also the former president of the First Student Council, and seems to have a personal connection with Shu Kai.
  • Haruna Chiyohara : One of the armed student instructors of the Kanto Student Federation. She is the operator of the mechanical demon Aenka, and together with fellow armed student instructors Yo and Yasutake, she is pursuing the truth behind the "Demon Hunting Incident." Contrary to her elegant Kyoto accent, she also has a shrewd side.
