DC's Black Adam live-action movie to start filming in April

According to a recent interview, DC's live-action Black Adam movie will start filming in April this year.

In an interview with foreign media ComicBook, "Black Adam" film producer Hiram Garcia said: "We will start shooting in April and we will be in Georgia. We are really excited and we are ready for everything."

In the interview, Garcia reflected on the upside of last year's COVID-19-induced production delays, noting, "We're glad we were able to pause, regroup, and now we're starting." Garcia said the extra time allowed the creative team to add more depth to the pre-COVID concept and further "the ambition and hope for this goal," even though details are slim on all fronts.

Garcia also mentioned the lead actor Dwayne Johnson. He said: "Dwayne Johnson is a walking superhero. If there is a person who is born to play this role, it is him."

Marwan Kenzari, who played the magician Jafar in the live-action movie "Aladdin", has also joined the crew of "Black Adam". In this way, "Black Adam" brings together actors such as Dwayne Johnson, Sarah Shahi and Quintessa Swindell.

According to DC's plan, the film may have a lighter tone. The character of Black Adam has a strong duality. From the setting, Black Adam is very similar to Shazam. After all, he also possesses the power given by the gods. It's just that his power comes from the Egyptian gods. There is not much difference in performance from Shazam. Although Black Adam is a super villain, to some extent, he is not a real villain. Even if DC completely whitewashes Black Adam, it is understandable.

The movie "Black Adam" is directed by Jaomi Serra, the director of "Orphan", "The Shallows", "The Commuter" and "Jungle Cruise", and will be released on December 22, 2021.
