"Deadpool vs. Wolverine" IGN 7 points MTC comprehensive score 54 points

Deadpool vs. Wolverine will be released on July 26. The film's reputation has been lifted. IGN gave it a score of 7. Metacritic currently includes 44 media ratings, with an average score of 54. The reputation is relatively average. In comparison, the recently released new version of Twister received an average score of 65 from the media, which is generally well received.

IGN rating: 7 points, good

Deadpool vs. Wolverine is a hilarious superhero buddy comedy filled with surprising, self-contained MCU humor, but also with some unsurprising plot and pacing issues.

The film is wild and nonsensical, and always hilarious, thanks in large part to the performances of Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, and their unique interpretation of superhero movie history. Wade and Logan's foul-mouthed adventure pushes the Marvel Cinematic Universe out of its years-long comfort zone, but the film still faces old and disappointing cliches, such as a lack of memorable villains and relatively weak plot development, which shows that breaking the fourth wall is not a special effects panacea to all movie problems.

Polygon: 4 points

This film will be difficult to interpret as a love ode to anything, but more like a celebration of the commercial expansion ambitions of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Deadpool in the film has become one of the worst types of comic book heroes, a hollow character without principles and beliefs.

Screen Daily: 5 points

Hugh Jackman once again shows what a great Wolverine he is, but this comic book duo is ultimately too much to swallow, with some touching moments and anarchic humor in a film that's otherwise weighed down by convoluted multiverse logistics and tedious fan service.

The New York Times: 6 points

Deadpool vs. Wolverine is a "Deadpool" movie, which means it's rude, irreverent, funny, gross, weird, and a little sweet. Reynolds and Jackman's performances are so much fun, in part because their on-screen characters contrast so well with their off-screen nice-guy personas.
