The Walking Dead is not afraid of competition from The Last of Us

Not long ago, HBO officially approved the production of "The Last of Us". Although the official has not disclosed the specific broadcast time of this American drama, there are rumors that it may be broadcast at the same time as the 11th season (also the final season) of another zombie drama "The Walking Dead", which is in 2022.

Scott Gimple, head of programming content at AMC, the producer of "The Walking Dead", said in an interview that he was not worried about the competition with "The Last of Us".

"Both are zombie stories, but the way of telling the stories is different. I think there is enough (viewing) space for us. I will watch both TV shows, and I hope many people will do the same as me." Scott Gimple pointed out that "The Walking Dead" and "The Last of Us" are two completely different TV shows, each with its own audience.

"It's an amazing game, it's a show with a lot of great creators, and I feel like it's very different from The Walking Dead. It's a very, very different level."

It is reported that "Chernobyl" producer Craig Mazen, "Game of Thrones" producer Caroline Strauss and "The Last of Us 2" director Neil Druckmann will serve as the series directors of "The Last of Us".

At present, only a few contents of this series have been made public. It will tell the content of the first game and may touch upon the content of the second part. Foreign media reported that the adaptation did not deny or re-examine the events in the two games, but "expanded" them.
