Tencent Video and Japan's NBC Universal Entertainment cooperate to export domestic dramas to Japan on a large scale for the first time

Recently, Tencent Video and NBC Universal Entertainment Japan announced a strategic partnership. NBC Universal Entertainment Japan will promote more than 20 domestic dramas produced by Tencent Video to enter the mainstream Japanese market. The dramas include period dramas, modern dramas, suspense dramas and other themes. It is reported that this is the first time that the content of a domestic audio-visual platform has been exported to Japan on a large scale and continuously.

Public information shows that NBC Universal Entertainment Japan Co., Ltd. is an audio-visual entertainment production and planning company under NBC Universal. NBC Universal Group operates a number of entertainment businesses around the world, including investing in and producing audio-visual entertainment content, producing television news and variety shows, and owns film companies, television media groups, and theme parks.

It is understood that Tencent Video is exporting dramas and variety shows overseas through the overseas version of WeTV. So far, it has exported more than 80 TV dramas, more than 20 variety shows, and many documentaries and Chinese comics to more than 200 countries and regions overseas.
