Tom Hanks stars in western film News of the World

The new film "News of the World" starring Tom Hanks and Helena Zengel released a TV trailer, an exciting journey to the West. Directed by Paul Greengrass ("Jason Bourne" and "Captain Phillips"), it will be released in North America on December 25.

Trailer:

The film tells the story of a Kiowa Indian tribe that killed a little girl's family and kidnapped her just after the American Civil War in 1870. Four years later, the girl was rescued. Tom Hanks plays Jefferson Kyle Kidd, a veteran who lives in Texas. He travels to several towns every day, reading newspaper news from all over the United States and the world to the townspeople and telling them what is happening in the world.

Later, he was found and entrusted with a task for a $50 gold coin: escort the girl to San Antonio to find her aunt and uncle. The bad-tempered child had no memory of her previous family, she didn't know how to wear shoes, didn't use utensils to eat, didn't want to be rescued, and didn't want to go to her relatives.
