According to Japanese media reports today on October 1, Kou Tomita, the original voice actor of the blue fat man in the TV animation "Doraemon", died of a sudden cerebral hemorrhage at home on September 27 at the age of 84. Tomita Kosei, born in Tokyo Prefecture (now Tokyo City), graduated from the Department of Political Science, Faculty of Law, Chuo University, Japan, and is a senior male voice actor in Japan. He voiced the blue fat man in the TV animation "Doraemon" which started broadcasting in 1973. I believe many fans have watched it when they were young. His other works include Suzuki Jirokichi in "Detective Conan" and characters in Tezuka Osamu's works. |
