"Yowamushi Pedal" live-action movie official trailer starring Hashimoto Kanna will be released on August 14

The live-action movie of "Yowamushi Pedal", a famous manga about bicycle racing based on the work of Japanese manga artist Watanabe Wataru, is scheduled to be released on August 14. Starring national goddess Kanna Hashimoto, the official trailer was released today, March 16. Let's take a sneak peek.

Yowamushi Pedal tells the story of the protagonist Onoda Sakamichi, a freshman at Chiba Prefectural Sohoku High School, who is an otaku who loves animation, games and Akihabara. He originally planned to join the animation research club after entering high school. However, he later met Imaizumi Shunsuke, who was also a freshman and was active in major bicycle competitions in junior high school. One day during training, he saw Onoda Sakamichi riding a bicycle up a steep slope, and his belief was shaken.

The male lead of the live-action movie of "Yowamushi Pedal" Onoda Sakamichi will be played by Nagase Ren; Imaizumi Shunsuke will be played by Ito Kentaro; the female lead Kansaki Kan will be played by the national goddess Hashimoto Kanna. More details will be released soon, so stay tuned.
