Recently, director Niki Caro revealed the behind-the-scenes photos of Gong Li in the movie "Mulan". From the photos, we can see that Gong Li plays the villain witch Xianniang wearing an eagle-element robe. She remains calm after being tied up, and her aura is very powerful. Niki Caro said that it is a great honor to work with Gong Li and witness such bravery and fearlessness.

The movie "Mulan" stars Liu Yifei, Donnie Yen, Gong Li, Jet Li, Li Jie, An Youxin and others, and is directed by Niki Caro ("The Zookeeper's Wife" and "Whale Rider"). It is adapted from the Disney animation of the same name based on Chinese folk legends. It tells the story of Mulan disguising herself as a man and joining the army in place of her father. She breaks the fate of being a "good wife" and is about to fight and face her true self.

The movie "Mulan" will be released on Disney+ in North America on September 4, released in Taiwan, China on September 4, released in South Korea on September 10, and the release date in mainland China theaters is yet to be determined.
