"Eight Hundred" box office exceeds 2 billion, the world's first 2 billion movie in a single region

According to Maoyan Professional Edition data, on August 31, the cumulative box office of "Eight Hundred" in mainland China exceeded 2 billion yuan. It has been officially released for 11 days and the number of viewers has reached 51.95 million. "Eight Hundred" is also the first film in the world in 2020 to exceed 2 billion yuan in a single market.

The movie "The Eight Hundred" is the first Chinese-language commercial blockbuster to be released after the theaters resumed work. Directed by Guan Hu, it tells the story of eight hundred heroes who stayed behind in the Sihang Warehouse at the end of the Battle of Shanghai in 1937, fought tenaciously for four days and four nights, and held the last line of defense in Shanghai.

"The Eight Hundred" was officially released nationwide on August 21.
