Screenwriter Greg Russo recently tweeted the script for the Saints Row movie, confirming that the movie is real and in production. The text at the bottom of the picture below confirms that Greg Russo also made a second revision to the script in July 2020. The Saints Row movie was originally announced in April 2019 and will be directed by F. Gary Gray, the director of Straight Outta Compton and Fast & Furious 8. This is the first time we have heard the latest news about the movie version in more than a year. Russo previously said he wanted the Saints Row movie to be the "next crazy movie franchise," hinting that there could be multiple Saints Row movies. He also hopes the tone of the Saints Row movie will be similar to the Kingsman: The Secret Service movie. In addition to Saints Row, Greg Russo is also the screenwriter of films such as Mortal Kombat: Destruction (2021), the Resident Evil reboot and Death Note 2 (2021). There is currently no release date for the Saints Row movie. |
