Promotional video:

Francis Ford Coppola's "Metropolis" is adapted from the ancient Roman historical work "The Conspiracy of Catiline", focusing on a fantasy New York, with an imaginary time background between ancient Rome and the roaring 20s, but the city also has the appearance of modern New York. The city is on the brink of a disaster, and two forces have different views on the future of the city: Mayor Cicero is a representative of the conservatives, and his views on the development of the city are traditional and conservative; while an innovative architect Catiline hopes to build a utopia in the city. Between these two powerful figures, a young woman is maneuvering - she is the mayor's daughter Julia, who falls in love with Catiline.
