Today (December 6), @电影漂浪地球 official Weibo released a statement saying that recently, someone has used the movie "The Wandering Earth 2" to arbitrarily release false financing information in the market. China Film Co., Ltd., Guofan (Beijing) Film Co., Ltd., and Beijing Dengfeng International Culture Communication Co., Ltd. hereby jointly declare the following:

1. "The Wandering Earth 2" is a film jointly produced by China Film Co., Ltd., Guofan (Beijing) Film Co., Ltd., and Beijing Dengfeng International Cultural Communication Co., Ltd., and the above producers are solely responsible for the film's financing matters. The film producers have never and have no plans to conduct "The Wandering Earth 2" project financing business through any public channels such as websites, Weibo, WeChat public accounts, WeChat Moments, or entrust any organization or natural person.

2. No enterprise or individual may impersonate the producer or release the financing information of The Wandering Earth 2 project in the name of the investor or producer of The Wandering Earth 2 without authorization. Such illegal acts have nothing to do with the producer. Once the aforementioned acts are discovered, the producer reserves the right to pursue their legal responsibilities in accordance with the law.

The movie "The Wandering Earth 2" is the sequel to "The Wandering Earth". It will continue to be directed by Guo Fan. The project was officially announced during the Golden Rooster Awards in November 2020.
