Today (June 3), according to foreign media screenrant, British actor David Thewlis, who once played Professor Lupin in the "Harry Potter" film series, will join "Avatar 2" and play a Na'vi, a native of Pandora. In a recent interview, David Thewlis confirmed that he has joined the blockbuster "Avatar 2" directed by James Cameron. He said that he plays a Na'vi, or "a blue thing" in his words, but he is not sure what his role will be. Currently, Avatar director James Cameron and producer Jon Landau have just returned to New Zealand and are undergoing 14 days of self-isolation before filming resumes. In addition to Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Joel David Moore and other leading actors returning to the sequel, Kate Winslet and Cliff Curtis are confirmed to join the cast. Avatar 2 will be released in North America on December 17, 2021. |
