Screenwriter Quan Yongxian recently revealed on Weibo that the spy film "On the Cliff" directed by Zhang Yimou has been completed after 159 days of shooting and two 14-day quarantines for the entire crew. Quan Yongxian also posted a photo with director Zhang Yimou wearing masks.

It is reported that the story of the spy film "On the Cliff" takes place in the turbulent times of the last century. It tells the story of a team called Utra composed of Zhang Xianchen, Zhang Lan, Wang Yu and Wang Chuliang, who were sent to the Northeast to obtain evidence of Japan's anti-human experiments. The spy chief Gao Bin has already targeted the four people, and Zhou Yi, who is undercover in the spy department, must escort the four people while protecting himself.

Currently, no more information about the film has been released. Apart from the director and screenwriter, the cast list is unknown. However, some netizens revealed that the film stars Zhang Hanyu, Zhu Yawen, Qin Hailu, Zhang Yi, Yu Hewei, etc.
