Disney to launch female-centric Star Wars series

According to the latest report from Variety, Disney is vigorously promoting the development of its own streaming platform Disney+ at a time when the film and television industry is suffering, and they have decided to launch a new "Star Wars" series with Leslye Headland, the director of "The Revenge of the Condor Heroes".

Although details are scarce, Variety's sources say this will be another " female-centric " series that takes place in a different timeline than other Star Wars projects. Leslye Headland will serve as the producer and writer of this new project.

"The Mandalorian" is currently very popular on the Disney+ platform, and the second season will be released in October this year; at the same time, the animation "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" has also reached its final season. Lesyle's new project may take over the window after the completion of "The Clone Wars".
