According to foreign media reports recently, a prequel movie will be filmed for The Hunger Games. Lionsgate announced that it has begun working on turning The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, the prequel book of The Hunger Games, into a movie, directed by Francis Lawrence, the director of The Hunger Games 2/3, and written by Michael Arndt, the screenwriter of the second film. The prequel book, The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, will be released on May 19. The story is set in the youth of President Snow, the villain in The Hunger Games. At the age of 18, Snow suffered a family change. By chance, he participated in the 10th "Hunger Games" conference and changed his destiny. The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes is set 64 years before the start of the original trilogy and raises questions about power, the use of violence and the truth about human nature. There is currently no casting news for the film. |
