Costume supplier for HBO's "Chernobyl" donates protective gear to help fight the epidemic

To combat the pandemic, Spanish company Peris Costumes, the costume supplier for HBO's hit series "Chernobyl," has resumed production in its workshops in Madrid and Lisbon to produce protective masks, protective clothing and helmets. All the protective materials produced will be delivered to front-line personnel in nursing homes, hospitals, police stations, city halls and other social service agencies.

Javier Torre, CEO of Peris Costumes, said: "We can't stand idly by now, it's time to lend a hand. As time goes by, the needs will become greater and greater, and these needs will inexplicably not be met in a timely manner." He hopes that the meager aid can contribute to the epidemic on behalf of the entire film and television industry, including film, television and theater.

"Chernobyl" is adapted from real events, telling the story of the Chernobyl accident in Ukraine in 1986 and the brave people who sacrificed themselves to save Europe from disaster. The series is directed by Johan Reich, written by Craig Mazin, and stars Jared Harris, Stellan Skarsgard, Emily Watson, Jessie Buckley and others.
