Today (April 6), Kyoto Animation announced that the animated theatrical version of "Violet Evergarden" will be postponed again due to the epidemic. The film had previously been postponed to April 24 in Japan, and the new release date has not yet been determined.

Violet Evergarden is a light novel written by Kana Akatsuki and illustrated by Akiko Takase, published by Kyoto Animation's KA ESUMA Bunko. It is also the winner of the 5th Kyoto Animation Award. The work tells a series of tear-jerking yet healing stories about Violet Evergarden during her post-war ghostwriting work.

The theme of the new animated theatrical version of "Violet Evergarden" is "The last letter should be sent to the one you love deeply." From the official content currently released, the heroine Violet Evergarden has embarked on a new ghostwriting journey, and the amber memories may never fade.

Kyoto Animation also announced that fans who have already purchased movie tickets in advance can still use them on the film's new release date, so stay tuned.
