It seems that Marvel has decided to replace the main composer of the entire film at the end of the production of "Black Widow" which is about to be released. According to FilmMusicReporter, Lorne Balfe will compose the music for this new stage of the Marvel Universe. The Scottish composer Balfe's previous film works include the Mission: Impossible series, Lego Batman, and Bad Boys for Life. He also frequently participates in the film scores of master Hans Zimmer, including Inception, The Dark Knight, and Sherlock Holmes. In addition, Balfe also participated in the soundtrack of the game Beyond: Two Souls with the latter, so he can be said to be experienced. Lorne Balfe will replace Alexandre Desplat, an Oscar-winning composer who has been responsible for films such as Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. This is a relatively late personnel change for "Black Widow", which was originally scheduled to be released in May. Currently, due to the COVID-19 epidemic, "Black Widow" has been withdrawn and postponed worldwide, and the new release date has not been determined. This may be the reason why Marvel dared to make a last-minute change. |
