Cinemas closed down, "Saw" reboot was withdrawn from May release

Today (March 18), the reboot of "Saw", "Spiral: From the Book of Saw", announced its withdrawal from the schedule. The film was previously scheduled to be released in North America on May 15.

"As theaters across the country are closed, Lionsgate has decided to postpone the release of Spiral in the hope that fans will be able to enjoy it after all this is over."

The official did not reveal the new release date in the announcement. It should be that the new release time will be decided after the epidemic is over.

Saw 9 will be directed by Darren Lane Bousman, the director of Saw 2, 3, and 4, and the series producers Oren Cullors and Mark Berg will also return as producers. Comedian Chris Rock will write the story and serve as executive producer, while original creators James Wan, Leigh Whannell and Daniel J. Hefner will also serve as executive producers, with Stolberg and Goldfinger writing the script.

Samuel L. Jackson, Max Minghella and Monisseau Nicholas will all star in the film, playing Chris Rock's character's father, partner and police captain, respectively.
