Porn site will release non-adult films for the first time, aiming to provide a platform for more artistic expression

According to Variety statistics, this traffic giant had a total of 42 billion visits worldwide last year, and the non-adult film on the shelves this time is the stream-of-consciousness film "Shakedown" created by Leilah Weinraub. The filming period of the film lasted for 15 years. Director Leilah recorded the stories of early lesbian strip clubs in Los Angeles from 2000 to 2015, providing an intuitive glimpse into the subculture.

The film will be free on Pornhub for three months and will be available on Apple's iTunes store in the summer. Leilah, the film's director, said this is a cool opportunity and hopes to attract Pornhub's female users in particular. Although the official data will not be provided by gender, in general, Pornhub had an average of 115 million visits per day in 2019, 39 billion independent searches throughout the year, and 1.36 million hours of new uploaded content.

“This film is an expression of Pornhub’s commitment to supporting the arts,” said Alex Klein, Pornhub’s brand manager. “We want to be seen as a platform that artists and creators can use at will. This content may not find a home in places like Youtube and Vimeo, but it can here.”
