Kyoto Animation arsonist was diagnosed with mental disorder and holds a disability handbook

According to Japanese media reports, Shinji Aoba, the arson suspect in the Kyoto Animation fire incident, was imprisoned in 2012 for robbing a convenience store. While serving his sentence, he was diagnosed with a mental disorder and received a disability handbook. Japanese netizens hotly debated: "Is he going to be acquitted?"

In addition, the doctor who attended to the Kyoto Animation arsonist once said, "When Shinji Aoba was sent to us, he was already severely burned, with a burn rate of 90% and a mortality rate of over 95%. The reason why we tried our best to save him was to give the victim the truth. We hope that he will face his crime."
