DC is developing a live-action movie of "Bane and Deathstroke" and the screenwriter of "Captain America 4" is writing it

Following "Suicide Squad", "Joker" and "Penguin", DC is bringing more big-name villains to the big screen. According to The Hollywood Reporter, DC is developing a movie about Bane and Deathstroke teaming up.

The film is currently in its early stages and has not yet selected actors and directors. However, reports say that Matthew Orton, screenwriter of Captain America: Brave New World, has been chosen to write the script for the Batman villain film. Matthew Orton also participated in the development of the Marvel series Moon Knight and is also the main creator of the 2023 series Devil's Peak.

It's unclear when the Bane & Deathstroke movie will be released, or if it will be set in DC Films co-CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran's revamped DCU, but there's already enough material to draw from.

Bane has a particularly long history in live-action films, with his first film appearance dating back to 1997's Batman & Robin. Since then, Bane has appeared in the Gotham series, most notably as the main villain in Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises. Deathstroke, also known as Slade Wilson, has also been involved in a number of live-action projects, including the 2018 Titans series. Fans may remember that the character made a cameo in 2017's Justice League, played by actor Joe Manganiello.
