Today (March 6), the official trailer for the World War II epic "Greyhound", starring American national treasure actor Tom Hanks, was released. The film will be released in North America on June 12.

Greyhound official trailer:

"Greyhound" is adapted from C.S. Forrestal's 1943 World War II naval novel "The Shepherd". It is directed by Aaron Schneider and written, starred and produced by Tom Hanks. It tells the story of the captain of the U.S. Navy's "Keeling" destroyer (radio call sign "Greyhound") commanding an Atlantic merchant ship escort fleet to resist the attack of the German Navy U-boat during World War II.

Tom Hanks plays Navy Commander George Krause, who is responsible for issuing orders to the Navy destroyer Greyhound. While carrying out his mission, he must also fight self-doubt and his own demons to prove that he is qualified for the position.
