Tom Holland: The latest version of the Uncharted movie script is excellent

The Uncharted movie is very difficult to produce, and has lost six directors due to various reasons, including creative differences and schedule conflicts. Recently, there are rumors that Sony has set its sights on Reuben Fleischer, the director of Zombieland, to direct.

Due to the change of director, the filming of the Uncharted movie was inevitably delayed, and of course the release date. The film was originally scheduled to be released on December 18, 2020, but has now been postponed by Sony to March 5, 2021.

The leading actor Tom Holland will play the younger version of Drake in the movie. He recently accepted an interview with IGN and revealed some details about the Uncharted movie.

He said: "I think the Uncharted movie has something that most video game adaptations don't have: an origin story from the game. So if you've played the games, then you won't guess what's going to happen in this movie. If you haven't played the games, then you'll really enjoy this movie because it's information that everyone gets at the same time. I'm very much looking forward to this movie. It's been a long time coming.

I read the latest script on the way here and it’s one of the best scripts I’ve ever read. I think Mark Wahlberg is going to be a lot of fun as Sully.”

It is reported that Mark Wahlberg was originally planning to play Drake, but changes in the film script locked the lead role to a very young version of Drake, so Mark's role was replaced by Drake's mentor Victor Sullivan.
