The new DC film "Birds of Prey" will be released in North America on February 7. IGN gave it a score of 8 today (February 6), a 90% freshness on Rotten Tomatoes, a 6.8 on iMDb, and an average score of 59 on M. IGN said that "Birds of Prey" is a crazy driving journey, with Harley Quinn sitting in the driver's seat, but sometimes leaving her companions far behind.

IGN Rating: 8 Excellent

Birds of Prey is a wild ride with Harley Quinn in the driver's seat but sometimes leaving her fellow pilots in the dust.

IGN's overall review:

In terms of pure cinematic fun, Birds of Prey does a good job of that. The film's hilarious energy, raunchy fight scenes, and focus on one of DC's most fascinating characters, Harley Quinn, ensure that this film continues Warner Bros.' winning streak of over-the-top comic book adaptations that don't fearlessly embrace their inherent absurdity. While Harley Quinn is the obvious protagonist in the film, there's not much room for the rest of the Birds of Prey to shine (even if the rest of the team have their moments). Margot Robbie's performance in this film is quite stunning, and her presence on screen throughout the film gives the traumatized heroine the dimension she deserves. While we'd prefer to see a film that truly represents the Birds of Prey and takes fewer narrative detours, Birds of Prey provides an ideal way for many other interesting spinoffs in the DC Universe. Can we expect Poison Ivy next?
