Makoto Shinkai's animated film Weathering with You has grossed over 100 million yuan at the domestic box office

The official Weibo account of "Weathering with You" announced tonight that as of 6:15 p.m. on November 2, the film's domestic box office has exceeded 100 million yuan.

Makoto Shinkai's animated film "Weathering with You" is set in an era of chaotic weather changes. It tells the story of a boy and a girl who are controlled by fate and "choose" their own way of survival: high school student Morishima Hodaka runs away from home and goes to Tokyo, where he meets Amano Haruna, a girl with incredible power - she can make the weather clear by praying.

"Weathering with You" was released in mainland China on November 1st. It is also the first IMAX Japanese animated film in the country.
