IGN exclusively released the trailer for the American version of "The Grudge". This version is a reboot, directed by Nicolas Pesce and produced by Sam Raimi, the director of the old version of "Spider-Man".

The 2020 reboot of "The Grudge" is set in the United States. The protagonist is a female detective (played by Andrea Riseborough) who investigates a serious suspicious death case that all originated from the same house.

According to IGN, the story of the rebooted version of "The Grudge" will be R-rated, related to the first remake "The Grudge" in 2004, and set in the larger Grudge universe.

The reboot of "The Grudge" stars Andrea Riseborough, Betty Gilpin, John Cho, Lynn Shaye, William Sadler, Jacki Weaver, Demian Bichir and others. It will be released in the United States on January 3, 2020, in Australia on January 9, and in the United Kingdom on January 31.
