Midway will be released in China on November 8, simultaneously with North America

Today (October 24), the official Weibo account of "Midway" announced the domestic release date trailer of "Midway". The film will be released in major domestic theaters on November 8 and will be released simultaneously in North America. The film is directed by Roland Emmerich, who directed films such as "The Day After Tomorrow" and "Independence Day 2".

The movie "Midway" reenacts the Battle of Midway in 1942, a turning point in the Pacific War during World War II. Before this battle, the United States successfully cracked the Japanese code and learned that the Japanese army was preparing to occupy Midway Island and encircle and annihilate the US fleet. In this battle, the US military sank an aircraft carrier, the Yorktown, and achieved a decisive victory by sinking four Japanese main aircraft carriers and a cruiser in one fell swoop. The "Battle of Midway" thwarted Japan's offensive in the central Pacific, reversed the Allied forces' retreat since the Pearl Harbor incident, and was a key turning point in the entire Pacific War.
