Will Smith teams up with Netflix again to play a crime boss

On September 25, according to foreign media reports, Will Smith confirmed that he will work with Netflix again after the sequel to Bright to star in its new movie The Council. In the movie, he will play Nicky Barnes, the former head of an American criminal group.

It is reported that the film is based on the true story of Nicky Barnes, who was active in New York City in the 1970s. He developed the "Council" into a transnational drug smuggling group by allying with the Mafia. He was arrested many times and was eventually sentenced to life imprisonment.
