Netflix's "The Witcher" series new photos White Wolf Geralt holding a steel sword

Netflix released a bunch of new information about The Witcher series at San Diego Comic-Con in June, but not much has been released since then. Only some rumors about the release date of the series have kept fans excited. Today, Canary Islands Photography provided a photo of Henry Cavill's Geralt the White Wolf holding a sword.

As fans may have noticed, this is the first time we see the back of Geralt's steel sword, which is inlaid with jewels. We don't know the context of this photo yet, but it is likely that the White Wolf is not fighting a monster at this time, because Geralt usually uses a silver sword when fighting monsters.

The Witcher is likely to be released in December this year. After false reports that The Witcher would be released in November were debunked, Netflix's Dutch Twitter account accidentally reported that there were only 97 "nights" left until The Witcher was released, which would put the release date at December 17. The tweet has since been deleted.
