"Peninsula: Train to Busan 2" released two stills of the film for the first time today (March 23). The director of the previous film, Yeon Sang-ho, returned to direct, starring Kang Dong-won ("Prosecutor's Gaiden"), Lee Jung-hyun ("Battleship Island"), Lee Rae ("Hope") and others. It will be officially released in South Korea on August 12.

"Peninsula: Train to Busan 2" tells the story of the first film, which happened 4 years after the first film. The entire Korean Peninsula has been reduced to ruins, and the survivors are fighting to escape the Korean Peninsula. In the first film, the "uncle" played by Ma Dongxi sacrificed himself to save everyone, and the male protagonist played by Gong Liu has also died, so the two will not return.
