Netflix clarifies rumors that The Witcher web series will not premiere on November 1

At the end of last month, rumors about Netflix's "The Witcher" web series being officially launched on November 1st began to spread online. The source was a person named Giovanni Eūgene Altamarquéz who claimed to be related to Netflix. Netflix has now strongly denied the rumor and has begun investigating the person.

In the introduction of his Twitter account, Altamarquéz calls himself the "executive producer" of Netflix's "Mindhunter," "Queer Eye," "13 Reasons Why," and the first season of "The Witcher." He tweeted last Friday that the principal photography of the first season of "The Witcher" has been completed and November 1 may be the release date of the first episode.

Over the weekend, the fan site The Witcher.tv asked Netflix whether Altamarquéz's statement was credible, and the company said that this person did not appear to be an employee, contractor or part-time worker of their company. Altamarquéz's Twitter account was immediately frozen by Twitter officials, and all the content in it was cleared.

The first season of Netflix's The Witcher web series has been confirmed to be released in the fourth quarter of 2019, but until the official announcement is made, any information about the exact date is just speculation.
