Will the biggest mystery of the entire "Halo" series be revealed in the TV series?

Good things come to those who wait. The live-action TV series of "Halo" will finally be aired on Showtime. Although the crew said that they will stay true to the essence of the game, it now seems that at least one aspect may deviate from the tradition that the "Halo" series of games has always adhered to: the Master Chief may show his face.

"We're going to explore all sorts of new plots, but we're going to stay true to history," Showtime President Gary Levine told reporters at the Television Critics Association's annual meeting. "We're not going to violate any of the historical settings."

But the history of the plot is one thing, and the traditions in some games are another. Whether it is Bungie, which laid the foundation, or 343, which took over, they have always maintained a tradition: not letting the Master Chief show his face.

Asked by the media whether it is possible for viewers to see the Master Chief in his honor in this series, Levine declined to answer the question, saying only, "We'll see."

Since there was no immediate denial, that meant there was a possibility that the Master Chief would show up.

Pablo Schreiber from American Gods will play the Master Chief, and Showtime has also announced more important characters, including Natascha McElhone as Cortana and Dr. Catherine Halsey.

Otto Bathurst will be directing Halo, his past directorial credits include Peaky Blinders and Black Mirror.

343 Studios is currently developing Halo: Infinite, in which the Master Chief will once again play the leading role, and it is expected to be released on Xbox Scarlett in 2020. The Halo TV series will be released in the first quarter of 2021.
